Dr Beryl Tan is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Melbourne, New Zealand trained.
Dr Tan has additional training in reconstruction after cancer surgery at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre; a special interest in breast reconstruction with a further visiting fellowship in France and Belgium. Dr Tan took part in further aesthetic training at Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, in Germany and France with special interest in facial aesthetics, breasts and body contouring. Dr Tan regularly attends international meetings in both reconstruction and aesthetic surgery.
Dr Beryl Tan currently serves as a member in the ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) Residents & Fellows Committee representing Australasia and Asia Pacific. Her public appointments are at Eastern, Western, Northern, and La Trobe Regional Health.
Dr Tan's interests are in general plastic surgery, hand surgery, skin cancer, and breast reconstruction surgery with a special research interest in fat; currently completing Master of surgery relating to fat tissue engineering at Uni of Melbourne.
